More often than not, ordinary people may think that all that there is to biking is the motorcyclist, the motorcycle and the open road on which he will pass. However, a motorcyclist also has personal items and some other accessories that he needs to bring along with him every so often. The list can include an extra t-shirt, cellphones, another pair of pants, extra shoes to replace motorcycle boots, as well as a rain suit when it comes to taking an extended two-week trip or just for carrying that extra something on the way to work.

A Number Of Options To Choose From

With the way they were built, one can conclude that motorcycles are obviously not meant to haul any extras luggage. Therefore, he would definitely need a motorcycle luggage to carry some of his or her personal belongings, as well as other necessities that he simply cannot do without. However, with motorcycle luggage around, life could be easier. Some of these motorcycle bags come with other bags that would also interest the motorcyclists, including backpacks, rear-seat bags, tank bags, soft saddlebags, all-in-one bags, hard saddlebags as well as integrated luggage that would help make traveling by bike a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience.

When traveling alone, the most logical place for the motorcyclist to carry the extra stuff is the passenger seat. There are many companies selling rear-seat haulers that makes carrying luggage using a motorcycle luggage item such as the rear-seat bag much more convenient. However, the motorcyclist needs to find the right size and proper attachment system as well as make the wise decision of selecting one that is waterproof, to cope with wet weather conditions. Information on Ricardo Luggage.

Another convenient item of the motorcycle luggage is the soft saddlebag. From the tiny nylon wedges designed to fit a sports bike, to those big leather bugs, there are simply a lot of different configurations of this bag. As with the rear-seat bags, look for one that has good attachments and fits well. Mounting them can also be an option, and all that is required to strap them on are Velcro straps.

The last option for the motorcycle luggage is the hard saddlebag, ideal for the serious touring motorcyclist. These modern hard saddlebags are a lot more functional in terms of its capacity and convenience than they were before. Also, make sure that the one you will decide to buy is waterproof, as well as lockable to provide you with enough security and free your things from external elements.

When buying your own motorcycle luggage, make sure that you know what it is you really need because there are a lot of kinds available in the market. To get the most out of your motorcycle luggage, also familiarize yourself and see which one perfectly fits your preference.

Sharm, Egypt: Jewel of the Red Sea

Sharm el Skeikh, or just Sharm, is one of the hottest travel destinations in the Arab world, and for good reason. It has quickly become one of the finest diving destinations in the world, and the variety of activities available to the traveler is mind boggling.

Forty years ago, Sharm Egypt was little more than a tiny fishing village. But during Israel’s occupation, Sharm began to transform into a travel destination as the land was developed. It now contains most of the amenities that you would expect to find in a travel destination, except that it’s been able to maintain its historic roots.

Sharm and nearby Hurghada are located on the Red Sea coast, and just offshore there is a wide variety of aquatic life and beautiful coral, including sharks and dolphins, if that’s your cup of tea! Sharm caters to scuba divers of all levels, so even if you’re new to the activity, you’ll find a reputable dive operator who can accommodate you.

If scuba diving is not for you, there are plenty of other beach activities that you can take part in. Sharm and Hurghada beaches have luxuriouos white sand and the water is crystal clear. Bad pictures are almost impossible to take here!

Most of the hotels in Sharm, are located in the Na’ama Bay region, a long sandy bay with a beautiful, palm-fringed boulevard. Other popular neighborhoods include Sharm El Maya, which is near the older Sharm el Sheikh development, and Ras Um Sid.

Egypt hosts more than 5 million travelers every year, and in recent years, over one fourth of them have visited Sharm. The locals are very friendly and accommodating with travelers, but there are still some taboo customs that you should be aware of if you’re planning a visit. To get the most out of your holiday, look into Egypt packages, which will help you plan your travel.

Sharm’s reputation was dirtied somewhat in 1995 when a (suspected) group of radical Egyptians bombed several areas, taking aim square at the thriving tourist industry of Sharm. But it’s also important to note that many Egyptians died trying to stop those terrorists, and for the most part, Sharm is a very safe city to travel in.

Sharm is a beautiful city in a wonderfully historical city. If you plan a vacation to Sharm, whether on its on or as part of one of the available Egypt packages, you will not be disappointed, and you will be left with some fantastic memories (and hopefully photographs) that will last a lifetime.

Thailand’s second-largest city and the gateway to the country’s north was founded in 1296. You can still see the moat that encircled the original city. Doi Suthep, topped by one of Thailand’s holiest wats, rises behind the city, providing a dramatic backdrop and fine views of the city.

Phuket Thailand. A unique mixture of hustle and bustle and at the same time great and awesome beauty. And do you know what? It all depends on which part of Phuket Island you choose. Patong Beach for example is Phuket’s capital of nightlife, noise and just about any vice or virtue you might care to indulge in. Kata, Karon beaches on the other hand are largely unchanged and retain much of their natural beauty. Laguna Phuket is a collection of first class hotels and activities closer to the Phuket International Airport than to either Phuket Town or Patong. There is more, of course; Kamala, Rawai, Chalong, Nai Harn and others offer much to Phuket visitors. For a complete list of stories and activities see the list on this page.

I for one find the phrase just a trifle misleading. Upon first hearing the term I figured it to be a little outdoor action for those of us on the wrong side of 50. You know, those of us who stash a bowling ball under our shirts but who refuse to believe what is being told to us every time we return breathless from our latest safari to the corner store for a pack of fags.”Soft adventure”. I mean c’mon now, doesn’t that title imply a little “just a few minutes out of the arm chair” kind of action. You know what I mean, perhaps an invigorating stroll along the beach ungracefully red-faced from extended periods of sucking in one’s tummy. Or alternatively, bungee jumping from an upper bunk, or possibly pulling a bank job with a water pistol. You get the picture. Nothing strenuous mind, just a bit of lets pretend action so we can tell the folks back home we were not real “couch potatoes” while we sipped our gin and tonics in the exotic East

learn chinese

The 2008 Summer Olympics will officially start in Beijing on the lucky day of August 8, 2008. Here are some handy tips in learning Chinese and act like them if you are going to China to watch the XXIX Olympiad events.

Be Aware of the Rules

Although the Olympics is supposed to bring the whole world together in unity, there are still numerous laws that must be followed. China has very rigid rules for both locals and visitors, and it’ll do you good to learn them to prevent trouble.

It’ll pay to learn Chinese because the laws are in Chinese. If you can communicate in the language, talking with the locals will also be simpler. If you require directions or any kind of help, this would certainly be handy.

The Chinese government have declared certain areas like military installations off-limits to foreigners. Banned from entering the country are people with anti-China sentiments, mental handicap, and sexually transmitted diseases. If you speak Chinese, you have a better chance of securing a Chinese visa.

The Culture

Chinese culture has been in existence for several millenia. You can deal with the Chinese people if you study portions of this culture.

Personal relationships normally stem from business relationships. In China, the more you cultivate a close personal relationship, no matter how fleeting, the more opportunities to close a negotiation on your own terms. Try to engage in banter and show interest in a store owner when bargaining. You’re sweetening the sugar, in a manner of speaking. In order to chat and haggle, learn Chinese.

Seniority is extremely important to the Chinese. Instead of referring to a person by Mister or Miss, referring to them by their designation (Director/Chairman) is better practice. Also, give out and take business cards with both hands outstretched; be sure that the name on your business card faces the recipient so that he can read it at once.

You have to show more respect to important people with seniority and rank. Offer gifts, and don’t say no to one that’s given to you. Most importantly, do not embarrass a Chinese person publicly because “face” is very important to them.

Other extremely essential things to remember involve not airing out pro-Tibet and pro-Taiwan feelings, not complimenting the Japanese in any way, not putting down exalted Chinese leaders like Mao Tse Tung, and not plastering a permafrown on your face.

You’ll do very well to do as the Chinese do when in China. For fluent communication, learn Chinese online.

{Awesome Winter Relief Travel Spots}

Not so long ago our travel agent was our best friend with colorful brochures and tips on trips. Remember the only time you could get away was when the kids were out of school.  But we’re at the age now - well, a good number of us - where we can get away for a week or two and the kids; they are taking their own vacations.

Recent times have put travel plans, at least the leisure ones, on the proverbial back burner.  A lot of us lost good money in the collaspe of the US markets and feel bad even thinking of taking a vacation. Still, vacations are stress relievers in recessions.  So, don’t feel bad about it; know that it’s necessary to keep your spirits up and sane.

Some people have told me they are doing fine in this economy.  Many have the means to travel anywhere and weren’t affected in a large way by the turn of events.  But I want to address those who may have a little they can use for travel to take their spouses and families on a wonderful and relaxing vacation, knowing that you’re not going to break the bank.

Each day on Three Best Beaches, I feature three or four of the world’s best beach destinations.  But before you head off there, I want to show you some travel tips that my readers use everyday to snag the best deals and you can use these too, they’re absolutely free.

Number one is the newsletter by Vacations to Go.  This is full of great deals and travel tips you won’t find anywhere else.  It arrives in your email box, but you can view the website as well.  My second tip for you is the alert sheet from Airfare Watchdog. As you know, many websites allow you to set up alerts - but these people went out of their way.  And what’s great is that they allow you to put in your airport and they will send you the best fares from your airport to vacation destinations everywhere (and domestic cities as well.)

And one of my favorite online tools is the fare search at Kayak.  It can cover many cities at once and show you where the best site is to buy your ticket.  But a site that has saved me thousands and given me the most value is Trip Advisor. Ordinary travelers speak their peace about vacations that went right - or wrong - you will hear it all.  That can save you a week of grief because you’ll always get the best hotel out there.

Finally, some options for you this winter. Did you know Americans can visit the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, no passport required.  Granted, there are expensive trips, but by bargain hunting using the tips I’ve given, you can find great deals.  For the Caribbean, check out Spirit Airlines.  They are always running great deals.  And for those outside of the USA, check out very good deals right now for Florida.  Many rental homes can be found for very cheap at Vacation Rentals by Owner.  For example, you can get a home near the parks in Orlando for much less than the Disney hotels.

Try out these tools today - I make sure my readers have the best deals and destinations at Three Best Beaches. Stop by Three Best Beaches and check the Resources page for links to all these tools.  And get on our mailing list so you can get more great tips like these.
